God is the one who removes the demons but we, Gods people, are the ones who are equipped with the Holy Spirit and by that Power and the authority in Jesus we have control over demons.
What I am saying with this is that it’s most of the time very ineffective if we keep on asking deliverance from God while He is watching at us to act in His name and on His behalf. We’re the Ambassadors.
But offcourse listen very carefully to the instructions of the Holy Spirit and do not act out of human flesh.

Prayer hint:
If Dan has an attack, ask the Lord if He will bring every part of his soul into a place of rest (out of places of darkness) and proclaim it ;).
Although it might be a temporary solution, it is effective.
