I’m working in the local municipality and i have being under paid since 2005. I didn’t tithe because i was earning less, in 2009 in the same municipality they appointed me to act in another post, I was getting an allowance then I take out my tithe every month now, I’m no longer acting and they don’t want to rectify my salary whereas they rectified other workers salary last year December.
I WANT YOU TO PRAY FOR ME TO EARN A RIGHT SALARY IN ORDER FOR ME TO TAKE OUT MY TITHE EVERY MONTH,PRAY FOR ME TO BE FAITHFUL IN THE THINGS OF GOD,SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE NOT PRAYING AND READING THE WORD OF GOD.GOD BLESS YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL WORK YOU ARE DOING FOR US.

I will be praying for your financial situation. But remember tithing is giving God the firstfruits of our labor-The first 10%. God promises he will then take care of providing for the rest of our needs- he even says “Test Me in this”- the only known time in the bible that God asks us to test him.
Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
Cate-God knows all of your needs. He will take care of each utility bill, grocery bill and provide for any need you may have. God wants to bless you-but you need to first place your trust in Him but giving your first 10% as he has instructed. By giving the first 10% you earn you are allowing God to then open the floodgates of heaven to meet all of your needs.

Luke 21:1-4 -The Widow’s Offering
1As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.[a] 3″I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
It’s pretty powerful when God says “Test me”. What an exciting promise. I dare you to just try this-you will be amazed at God’s perfect provision- blessed beyond measure!
And remember Luke 16:10
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
God will meet your needs!!

This is a lie because I tithe and I am very poor to this very day. I have debt beyond my eyebrows!!! Yes I admit that I caused my debt, but the money that I use to pay tithes and offerings could very well pay off my debts. I am lacking to the point of no return. So, tithing does nor work in my favor.
The word of God is true and God cannot and will not lie. It is our faith that moves God and not doubt. We as believres are not exercising our authority in Christ. Heaven and earth shall pass away but God’s word remains the same. We are to live and be in line with the word of God. Ask the Lord to show you what is blocking your finances and He will. I am a living witness that God word is true and He will not withhold any good thing from those that seek Him. I have been there, paying tithes and offerings and seeing no results. I had to stop doing things that was not pleasing in the sight of God and when I did that and my life began to line up with His word, He began to pour out blessing as I confess and stand on God’s word and promises…
God is good and He is faithful and He will never leave you nor will He forsake you….(stand on His word..) be encouraged…

Tithing???!!
In 2001, I began to tithe because I want to honour God for His goodness towards me. I was then a young Christian. Down the road, I learnt about Malachi 3 in one Sunday service. As such, an expectation is created based on His promise. However, my income per month remains largely the same after 7 years of tithing (Before tithing, I enjoy income increase). After tithing, my monthly income seems to suffer a freeze. This is counter to His promise.
God challenges us to test Him. I have done so and can I say He has failed.
I tithe until it becomes ‘stretchy’ for me to tithe since my income remains the same after I have started tithing. Factoring inflation, the real income reduces and as my financial commitment grows over the year. If God has failed the test He told us to test Him, then how can we respect and honour Him.

I have gone through what I hate to think about over all these years as Christian. Pain and disappointment and depression just because of the belief in His words. If you say I have no faith then think about it. If I had no faith, I would not have believed. If I have not believed, then I would not suffer depression. Simply put, you would be saying it is better off not to be a Christian than to be one.
Is it better off not to be a Christian? I am no longer sharing the Words with others cos I do not want them to end up like me – in despair and heart broken to have trusted in Him who seems to be no where for so long even after crying to Him nights by nights.
If you belong to God’s kingdom, the devil will hit you. If God is not with you, what happens – you suffer. If He is with you, then how can it be so prolong pain and despair and fire fighting over the years???!!
If you say that God wants to develop you through all these pain, let me ask you: Christ Himself say ‘Come to me all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you REST!” Jesus did not say that He has come to give you pain and suffering. On the contrary, he heals and is generous to so many. He took the pain in our place instead. If God is true and His words is so, then maybe He has chosen to be with some and will not foresake those He wants to be with. That is, Christianity may not be for everyone.
Enlighten me please especially on the tithing part.
Hi Dispair… I know that you posted this over a year ago but I think it is never to late to respond. You may read this and you may not. But I feel I have to say something. God knows our heart. Sometimes we may be doing something only to get something in return from Him. When tithing, tithe because it is what H e says to do. He will see your faith and reward you. Sometimes everything we go through is a test. You might be minutes away from your breakthrough and you give up or you doubt. Then what happens, the devil wins. Never give up on God. It breaks my heart to he u thinking about giving up on God. Everyone has problems. I know people how are not Christians who have way more money than I do. But, what does the bible say… Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity, Psalm 37:1. God sees what they do and He sees what we do. There time is coming. You hold on to God’s unchanging hand and you will see progress. Start reading the bible and really getting into the word of God. You will see a big change. I’m not perfect. I have my doubts at times and sometimes I lack in the area of reading the bible and praying. But I do know that without God, I can’t do anything. You are blessed to see everyday, blessed to have a roof over your head, blessed to even have a job. There are so many homeless and jobless people out there and u have a job. Be grateful. Sometimes I need to remember this myself. Please, don’t give up on God. At the end of the day would you rather be RICH and enter into hell because u turned your back on God or POOR and enter into heaven. I don’t know about u but what ever road takes me to heaven is the one I want to be on. Jesus DIED for us. If He never does another thing, H has done enough. I will pray for you. Also, when tithing, have faith that he will show up in the nick of time.
Tithing is very important, because the bible says give and it will come back to you, good measure……I have seeen it work, I would like to start paying back my tithes every month. I am struggling financially right now, because I have invested my money in my relationship that went sour after 13 years, If i had known that my life would have happened this way now I would have save my money and ran. But it pays to learn, If anyone have a suggestions where I can earn a little extra income each month via the internet because I am in the caribbean, so that i can back up my existing income i would appreciate it, I have faith, but faith without work is death, and I am a very hard worker with high determinination. Anyway I have 2 beautiful kids from that relationship with no regrets of their birth, and I am depending on God along with his gracious Angels right now for my financial breakthrough, because I believe where there is life there is hope and I will bounce back. I am sorry to hear whats going on in all. But she has a track record of it. She cheated on Chewy not even a month before they got married. For example: In Feburary of 2006 she got pregnant and went and had an abortion in March of 2006. Never letting Chewy know of the issues. Them he married her on April of 2006. As for the domestic violence charges she did that to Chewy to. Had a restraining order on him and all for no reason. Thats why chewy had no interest in the kids. IE Like she is doing to you. Her family does have a big pull in it and if you would like I can give you the current number of where she is. She called us just the other day. I will be looking for your post. Let me know if I can assist you in anything. I’m sorry if we have made things difficult on you two but that was not our intentions. The intentions was to at least meet the two kids. After we met the kids we don’t feel to sure that they are his and that is the reason for the genetis motion on March 3. I belive she is staying with her mom where ever that may be.

I need a breakthrough in my finances. I’ve been dealing with debt for too many years now. In 2009 I went to church and the word for that night was that next year this time, I’ll be debt free..that was 3 yrs ago and I’m still waiting. Please pray for my financial breakthrough. I’m not loosing hope. I do believe that there is a lesson in this that God wants me to learn. And like an onion, it is slowly revealing itself. I just wish this lesson didn’t have to take so many years to learn!!!
I think the reason we thite should not to seek something in return to God but to do it as an expression of our sincere heart that we are obedient adn faithful,on the other hand we can not just really our thiting of which is tenth out of our income, because the Lord require as to give all we have to Him and through others, but if we would just have faith and we give to God not only our money but our lives we surely will not be abondent, the only mistake we make is we expect God to bless us when we give our tithes, which if you think about it that’s actually His money because the reason you can thithe is because He had first gave us the ability to thithe, but then we hope that he will return our thiting many time fold, then when do we actually really give to God, God spoke when I was thirsty you gave me water, when I needed shelter you gave me place to stay, when I was hungry you gave me food, then the deciples ask Him when did we do this, God says when you did to the very least of His people. So, God will test our faith and heart before He will trust you with more, just like a little boy, they father would not trust them with much bigger toy until they know how to use their toy according to their maturity this is why some toys would have an aged specification, we as Father would not let our 3 or 4 years old boy play with a remote control helicopter even if they see one and want to play with it. So never give up on God just because He did not do as His promises yet, but one thing I believe He is God and does not break His promise instead He will keep His promise otherwise God has no integrity but this is the devil who always want to have you think the opposite way.
