Marriage is Sick

I am so unhappy and stressed about my marriage. My husband and I have been together for about 15 years. He has never really been responsible with financial matters so I have always had to carry the burden of taking care of the household expenses. We have had many arguments about this and it always turns ugly. He will say that he is going to help out but then it never happens. Recently, he let several months past without contributing nothing. When I asked him about it he told me that he had gambled the money. I told him yesterday to get out the house I did not want to continue living like this. He has a good job and are salaries are close and at times he made a little more than I. Please keep me in your prayers while I overcome this terrible situation.

    I will pray for both your marriage and your husband.
    God put us together for better or for worse when we get married. Financial matters are one of the #1 reasons for families falling apart, but it is just money…something that is only known to this world. Forgive your husband as God has forgiven us infinite times for our faults. It is not our place to decide when to stop forgiving, but it is our place to live by God’s word and to keep our promise to him. Matrimony is a sacred thing; money is satanistic. Don’t ever let money, no matter how bad things get, come between you and your spouse and doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord. Put your trust in God to take care of your financial and personal matters (he has in the past: you said your spouse didn’t contribute for months, yet God carried you through every situation you have gone through. Why do you have such little faith in him now?) Why do you suddenly think it is your place to judge your hsuband instead of leaving that up to the only one who truly has the power and right to do so. You have my prayers, but you already had God’s blessings! God bless you and give you strength and wisdom to do his will and the faith to never feel you are in control but instead to know that God is amd he will never give you more to deal with than he knows you can handle.

    Romans 12:11- 12 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
    Jesus is our everlasting hope. What Would Jesus Do? “(God’s) strength is made perfect in weakness” . Job lost everything, but God was testing him. Then Job ended up with more in the end, because Job was faithful to God, even when his spouse was telling him to go against God. Even if your spouse isn’t being true to God by using HIS resources that HE has given you two, still pray for him, love him, and forgive him. Pray for a forgiving heart and a positive attitude, and also God’s grace. Just remember that there are a bunch of couples out in the world just like you two. Many people get divorced but most of the time, that’s because their marriage is not built upon Jesus. Marriage is hard, but God will help you through.
