I have a prayer request and I’d like advice from other Christians about my job situation. I am working for an elderly man who is quite wealthy, has had three wives and lives a very comfortable life. I got this job by answering an ad in the classifieds. It is a legitimate position of companion care plus many responsiblities one would do for an elderly gentleman, i.e., grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, dog walking and bathing, gardening. My moral problem with the situation is that he has a 27 year old girlfriend who I’ve been told was originally a call girl. She is paid to come over twice a week for several hours and go to lunch with him and spend the afternoon with him. He is 84 years old. This is both my job and my home as I do in-home elderly care. I am kind and friendly to this girlfriend, but I feel that they are living their life, without any shame, right in front of me. They know I am a Christian. This is my life 7/24. I eat with my boss and his girlfriend, and I am have been in this house with them week in and week out for 8 months. Is this an environment for a Christian? What is my responsibility here? I am very dependant on the salary I am getting due to car problems and medical bills. This is the best salary I would probably make in this line of work. Please pray for me that God would give me understanding. Any insights I would appreciate it.
